Heyuk (Hello), Insis Heyum (Good, Morning) Hawathicma (How are you?). Nim Insis ( I’m Good).
My name is Peter Reece Christman, I’m from Tule River Indian Reservation, Yokut Tribe.
My roots trace back to the early 1800’s, I am the 5 generation in my family of men.
I grew up in a poverty, but now my tribe is making a name for itself with economic development.
I’ve worked in our WIA program throughout my junior high and high school years from ages 14-18.
I worked with our tribe in various departments in our casino, and even worked for the Indian Gaming Commission as a Surveillance Officer protecting our tribes assets.
Throughout all my years, I’ve been attending college and getting ready to graduate with 5 transfer degrees, 2 AA/AS degrees, and 4 certifications.
Even though I’m still not decisive about my career. I would like to try and model in the Indigenous industry, it’s been something I’ve been wanting to do for awhile, but never knew which route to go or even go to. I’m glad for the media today, which brings all us Natives together to show everyone’s beauty from all Nations.
I would really like to give this a try and finally do something I’ve been dreaming for a long while.
Thank You for your time.
Sincerely Christman
