Hi, I’m Sonja Akilak, an Inuk woman from Toronto. I’m interested in joining the Indigenous Fashion Collective to support and elevate Indigenous designers and artists in the fashion industry. With experience volunteering at Indigenous Fashion Arts as a backstage captain, I have a strong understanding of event coordination and the importance of cultural representation in fashion. I’d love the opportunity to contribute my skills in design, research, and strategy to help further the collective’s mission.
