Nick Vardy is the owner of Moccasin Media, an Indigenous-owned visual arts company that helps businesses and communities connect, engage, and thrive through visual storytelling. A proud Barefoot Onadoga man from the Six Nations of the Grand River, Nick has called Wood Buffalo home since 2013.
In 2020, Nick was named one of Wood Buffalo’s Top 50 Under 50 for his contributions to the community. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Ihkapaskwa Collective, an organization of Indigenous care providers dedicated to supporting families through culturally safe programming, services, and education.
Nick draws inspiration from his cultural heritage and the stories of resilience within Indigenous communities. His goal is to honor and preserve these stories while bridging tradition and innovation, ensuring that Indigenous culture is both celebrated and understood by future generations.
Through his work with Moccasin Media, Nick continues to empower Indigenous voices, educate non-Indigenous audiences, and provide a platform for cultural exchange.
