– LISA C. REDFORD – INSPIRED BY LCR
My name is Lisa C. Redford and am the owner and creator of INSPIRED BY LCR fashion designs that
consists of contemporary, streetwear, statement pieces and haute couture. Designs within each piece
are created from my original artwork and graphic design and many are limited editions. Some pieces are
created by repurposing clothing.
My designs incorporate an indigenous flair with an edgy modern look inspired by my heritage and
ancestry which includes Hidatsa and Eastern Cherokee/Chickasaw.
I am an enrolled member of the Three Affiliated Tribes, Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation of North
Dakota on my mother’s side and of Eastern Cherokee/Chickasaw descendancy on my father’s side as
well as English, Danish and Irish. My Hidatsa name is Ground Cedar Woman- Awah-Miduah-Qhobadi.
I launched my first collection “Evolve” in 2021 and a second collection titled “Off the Trail” of tears. My most recent collection will be dropped in September titled "Resilient Fringe". I have made numerous custom designs and most recently have been creating one-of-a-kind pieces by painting directly on repurposed clothing utilizing bleach as well as acrylic mediums. I continuously am creating. I am in the Native American Arts Magazine as a featured artist August/September 2024 edition and also have an ad in the issue as well.
