Kyana is a Mi'kmaq and Ojibwe dancer who excels in Fancy Shawl and Jingle Dress styles. As the first Powwow dancer to perform at a Toronto Raptors game, she shows that dance can be a form of competition, sport, and a powerful expression of self. For Kingbird, dancing is a deeply personal way to connect with herself and others.

From fashion to intricate beadwork, Kyana's creations and expression merge her diverse passions into a unique form of art that reflects her lived experiences. Her work aims to illuminate the beauty in her unconscious thoughts and ideas, filtered through an Indigenous lens shaped by her upbringing. Most recently, Kyana demonstrated her design talent at Fashion Art Toronto with an avant-garde collection that embodied her unique creative vision.

Kyana offers a variety of cultural and educational workshops and teachings to schools, youth, and organizations. Kyana champions mental wellness through cultural expression, and encourages the younger generation to dream big.
