Kayla Banks (she/her/they/we/us) is an Afro-Indigenous (Choctaw/Chickasaw Oklahoma) (lineage of stolen Africans) and Eastern Euro (Czech) performing artist, model, and cultural storyteller whose work centers truth-telling, embodiment, and ancestral connection. With over a decade of experience across stage, screen, and community arts, Kayla brings a grounded presence and fluid emotional range to every role. As an artist deeply rooted in Native and Black liberation traditions, Kayla's cultural fluency includes language and land-based training with the Choctaw Nation, ceremony and performance with Mexika Danza and Colorado Natives, and facilitation of youth empowerment and land acknowledgments through NAYA and other Indigenous-led programs.
Kayla thrives in character-driven, emotionally rich storytelling — whether on camera or in community. She is passionate about projects that center authenticity, kinship, and multidimensional representations of people of color.
