Darcy Big Horse is an enrolled member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Nation and has used beadwork and fashion as a medium of artistic expression for most of her life. She grew up in England and utilized beadwork as a way to stay connected to her culture despite the physical distance. Her work is deeply connected to her heritage as Heévâhetane while also weaving in a whimsical tone inspired by her early years in English countryside. She began selling her work in 2021 and since then has had her work worn by many Indigenous actresses, actors, singers, performers and other creatives. Her work has been published in various magazines and worn on several red carpets includes Cannes Film Festival , Palm Springs International Film Festival and more. She debuted her first line of clothes at NFWSF ‘25 successfully and was featured in several magazines as a designer to watch. Darcy hopes to bring Cheyenne and Arapaho artistry into the spotlight by highlighting Plains inspired designs in a whimsically romantic fashion.
