Almeta Dellagnolo, extraordinary jeweler and sculptor, is the founder and sole artisan behind Babaloo Jewelry. She is a registered member of the Nimiipuu Tribe, born on the reservation in Lapwai, Idaho, whose work carries the weight of ancestral tradition and the refinement of a life lived across four continents.
Almeta's design sensibility was shaped by years spent in Canada, Germany, France, and Switzerland before she established her studio in Lexington, Kentucky, where every piece is now slow-made by hand in deliberately small batches. Her work has been featured in Forbes, Who What Wear, Garden & Gun, and Western Architecture, and has been carried by the Autry Museum of the American West.
Beyond her studio practice, Almeta is a Founding Partner of the International Indigenous Fashion Council (IIFC) and serves as its Chief of Accessories — a role that places her at the center of a growing global movement to elevate, protect, and champion Indigenous designers on the world stage.
